I also like this photo purely of the angle and I feel like it captures the lines on the railings very clearly especially due to the sun light. Additionally if you look carefully, you can see a spiders web between one of the railings. This is helped be seen by the sunlight- creating more lines within this photo. Furthermore, behind the background you can almost see a division of buildings by lines, a reason this is a key factor to this picture because it makes it very powerful.| Shutter speed: 1/340 F-stop: 2.8 ISO: 200 |
Furthermore, I have chosen this photo because i like the way the main focus line of the photo (the drain) directs the view straight down the photo- also giving this image a sense of perspective for the viewer. Next to the drain you can see the start of the pavement lines crossing over. I like this straight split down the photo because it shows a contest of angles of lines. On the left hand side there are sort of horizontal lines (by the angle of this photo makes them look diagonal) yet the right hand side has lines both vertical and horizontal, creating a confusion of emotions for the viewer as they wouldn't know how to feel when looking at this image. The fact there would be confusion on this image makes me like this image more because it's as if this photo has two meanings.![]() |

Finally, I chose this photo as one of my favorites from the element of lines because not only is there a straight forward vertical line in the top left corner, the entire photo is filled with water ridges- creating thicker lines the further away from the fountain. The reason I took this photo with the fountain in the left hand corner and not at the center is because I believe that if it was on the main focus people wouldn't notice the other lines with in this photo. The mass number of lines in this photo is a key reason why I like it.
