Manipulated images image bank

When researching, most of the images I come across are rather amusing, take this one for example, an over sized bird ice skating with tiny ice skating boots. This is a really good example of manipulating images because it is out of the ordinary. I like this image as well because it's clearly not meant to be there, yet for some bizarre reason it works.  

This is another image I had to include because I love the way this person has used the manipulating skill to show a fish- in its natural habitat, yet the on it's back there's an island. I really like this image because the fish is over sized and it all fits. 

Even though this is a much more simpler manipulation compared to the 2 images I have picked above, although I still really like it. I really like converse shoes and the way they have manipulated it is very interesting- it is like it's splashed away.   

This is one of my top favorites in this blog post because I like how it's such a simple idea, yet it's so amusing. The manipulation of the man using a lawn mower put onto a man with a beard, is such a good idea, I also hope to recreate this image in some way.  

The reason I chose this image is because it is a good example of a bold manipulation image. This is because they have put a women on top of a building- the size of this women is obviously inhuman, so I really like how the have photo-shopped her in and the lighting makes it look like she's really there.

I like this image and find it inspiring because I have seen many photos manipulated in this way and would like to do the same. I think the way the face is put on the hands is really interesting. 

Portraiture Low key Lighting Image bank

When researching Low key lighting, I came across this image which I really liked because I believe it shows how low key lighting can be used to create a spot light on the chosen subject. In my opinion, this use of lighting is good for photo shoots on fashion magazines because it is a good way to represent feminine features. Hopefully, if given the chance, I would like to create this image. Although a problem I may encounter on this is that I may not be able to have a snoot on my light. 

I also like this image and find it inspiring because I like how she isn't looking at the camera and has her hand as part of the image- the lighting here is clearly opposite her because you can see the highlighted sections are in a wide part of her face, yet the sides are much darker. I would like the create this image, although, I may not be able to do it this time- but another time, because there will be groups of us on each part of the studio, so I won't be able to move the equipment around too much. However, I do intend to capture an image like this later on.

I normally wouldn't like a rebellious looking image such as this one, however in the case of low key lighting, I actually find this a rather inspiring photo because the hood is creating a shadow around the face- making the mid section, around his nose much brighter. I would like to create an image like this, although I believe it would only work with a male subject because the angry glare of the eyes and stern facial expression would work much better if it came from a man. 

Much like the image above, this is a sort of rebellious image, just in a different way. I find this image inspiring, however I wouldn't like my subject to be smoking because I do not think that makes an image any better. Excluding the cigarette, I would like the create this image because I believe the lighting really helps create masculine features on his face. I also like how he is facing head on because it makes the change in lighting very clear across the face. 

I really like this image because I believe the female glance is very clearly shown here. I also like how the lighting conveys her cheek bones very well. Not only this but the editing works really well in this image because the majority of the images that I found whilst researching were in black and white, or the ones in colour didn't look as good as they could have. Although I believe this image works really well. 

This is another example of how lighting can be used to show the masculine aspect because you can see his jaw line very clearly, alongside the frown of the eyebrows, and the shoulders are seen to have muscle on. I also like how only one side of his face is clearly visible in comparison to the other half.

Portraiture Image bank

This is one of my favourite images which I found and hope to capture a portrait in this way. The reason I like is because it focuses purely on the face and most importantly the eyes. I find it inspiring and would like to recreate this because I really like the way it captures the person in the frame. I also like the femininity that is shown through these images- the eyes/ eye lashes. Additionally, the emotion here is either scared/ worried. I like the way this emotion is conveyed so easily and people can tell.

This is another one of my favourites because of the portrayal a neutral emotion. In this photo it is the nose that is the main focus as the eyes are shut. I also like and find inspiration from how the hair obstructs parts of the face because it's almost as if she is trying to hide away.

I like this photo because it's an example of Richard Avedon's work as you can see only half of his body and something is obstructing his mouth. I like this image because I like he facial expression conveyed- an almost shocked face. I also find inspiring because its different compared to other images, he is holding something, it isn't just him in the frame making it more interesting.

I also like this image because of the dominance, powerful and a bit angry atmosphere that is created here. The sharp structure of his facial expression helps convey these powerful emotion. I find this one inspiring because the lighting helps create these feelings very well. You can see a clear transition of lighting across his face. Also, his eyes are almost piercing through making this the most

This is another image which I like because I believe it represents ________ work very well and to me is rather inspiring. The reason I find this inspiring is because the use of lighting, much like the one above shows a strong tone of masculinity, yet unlike the one above, you can see the rest of the body. I also like how the editing on this image is  done. I believe black and white here is a very good way to show dead pan, it makes it more drawing in.

This is a final image which I like because it shows Alec Soths work. I hope to able to to capture an image like this of two people because much like I have found with Soth's other work, it creates a story by using the landscape. I find this inspiration and would hope to add this into my work when it comes to taking photos.

Joiners Landscape/object Image bank

I really like this as an landscape joiner because from all these different photos, you can still assume the over all image. Also, I like the way that the tone changes through the images - the buildings and the clouds- this suggests the photos were taken at different times and the sun had changed positions (perhaps gone behind clouds. I really like how it all comes together.

This is another image that I have chosen as I really like it. This reason I like this image is because the photos clearly overlap and I like the effect it has on the entire image- here none of the parts are missing its clearly the coast. I would like to recreate an image like this if possible- obviously I'm not at a beach so it wouldn't be like this exactly like this one.

Again, I really like this one due to the change in the lighting in some of the photos included- yet it isn't clear that it's not meant to be like this. This is a really pretty landscape image and would like to re-do this one- one day.

I find this image inspiring as all the different parts of the image are pieced together really well. I would also like to recreate this because simply, this photo clearly shows and object clearly- the same way I want to recreate from my photos.

I also like this image of the clock as it includes different fades on the photos- this is the image I hope to recreate most because I feel it is accessible and would show my learning of how to create a joiner in the best way- it is also rather simple object.

Finally, this image of the Sydney Opera house is a personal favorite to look at because I really like the building in general and believe this joiner of it looks so pretty. I also like the strange way the sky has been parted together because it seems that it shouldn't look like this yet it works. I also like the way that when editing, the person who created this used different sized frames- you can also see how they over lapped them very well.  

Joiners Image Bank

 This is a very clear example of how the joiner effect can be used simply to show different angles in the same image. I really like this image because all the pats fit together very well and its a good way to show a whole image. I would like to recreate an image like this as it's actually a really big building yet this effect has made it possible for the entire building to be seen.

 I also really like this image because even though the part don't fit together, it makes the image very intriguing as you can see all aspects of the face- yet not together. I think this inspiring and would like to recreate this image in today's lesson because I believe it would be a good place to start my exploration into this element.

 I also really like this image and find it inspiring because you can see that it was taken a different moment in the day due to the lighting in certain parts of the photo yet it still comes together really well and shows the photo in a really good way.

This is my favourite image I've chosen for this image bank because most the Eiffel tower is missing yet you can still easily tell what it is. It is also mostly at the same angle although I still like the joining of all the different photos in the result of this final piece. If it was possible I would love to get an image like this although if I wanted a structure like this I would have to London- yet it is very busy and may not work very well. Although I could use this concept in terms of a building in town- This is what I hope to have soon.

 This is also a good example of Joiner because you can see the different aspects of the photo, yet id I were to recreate this I would try to include different angles when making up this image.

This image is a good example of how I would try to use different angle when making my image, because even though these stairs are most likely to be straight steps, they look like they are very wonky. I would also like to recreate this image if given the chance to.

Depth Image bank

 This image is an example of shallow depth of field. I find this one inspiring because you can see the small object in the foreground and in the background there is the actual Eiffel tower yet is blurred out. I would like the recreate this image because it's as if the object has been copied and only one is in focus. This would have a very low F-stop- perhaps 5.6 because the background is so blurred and there wouldn't be a need for much light as the object that needs to be in focus if close to the camera.

 This is another example of Shallow depth of field because only the bubble is in focus. I really like this image because the bubble is positioned directly in the middle. I also like the clearness of the bubble and would like to recreate this in some form. Again with the image above it would most like have an F-stop as around 5.6.

 Again, I really like this photo because the actual building its self yet the reflection in the water is clear.  I find this inspiring because the building doesn't need to be in focus for people to know what it looks like. Another reason I like this image is because the whole photo is a narrow depth of field yet the water reflection is almost a wide depth of field and you can see much more of the surrounding. This image would also have a very low F-stop because there isn't a need for much light to be used- just for the object in the foreground.

 I find this photo inspiring because of the simplicity of the depth of field. The flowers are in the foreground and are in focus yet the people and the benches are out of focus. I would like to recreate this image because I really like the beauty portrayed in the flowers. As the background isn't as blurry- the F-stop would be low but not as low as 5.6- perhaps 7 or 8.

 This photo is a wide depth of field, unlike the ones above. I find this image inspiring because you can see a lot more of the surroundings. I also like the pattern aspect of this photo. Due to this being a wide depth of field this would have a very high F-stop, most probably F22.

I personally really like waterfalls and find them very calming. The use of wide depth of field and wide angle frame showing the entire waterfall. The fact you can see the bottom and the way to the vanishing point makes this a very inspiring image to me. Obviously i can't recreate this image in town, but would like to use this aspect in maybe a landscape photo. This also would have a very high F-stop maybe 20 because everything is in focus expect the movement of the water

Movement Image Bank.

 The use of macro photography makes this such an inspiring image because it captures movement in a very clear way. Even though I myself don't have a big enough lens to do this, I hope to some how recreate an image like this because you can clearly see the ripples in the water moving across.

 This photo was clearly taken from a motorway- which I really like. With one side the red lights from the back of the car and the other with white headlights. I really like how this movement is portrayed as it doesn't actually have the cars themselves, just the lighting that's been left behind.

 I find this photo inspiring because of the stereotypical British shot taken here. With the red phone box and bus, the movement of the bus is so blurred yet the phone box isn't. I would really like the capture an image in this way because I really find it inspiring because only one part of the image in shown to be moving.

 Much like the image above, I really like this image and find it inspiring because its as if the children on the swings aren't the ones moving yet the world around them is. I may recreate this by getting images of someone on a swing- it may create the same effect.

 Personally, to me the beach is the best place to be, so for this image of movement to include the sea makes this a photo I really like. The reason I find this inspiring is because movement is only portrayed through the water.

Finally, I really like this image to show movement and really hope I am able to recreate it because the way the dice bounce are shown here and it's a very simple image. I also like the way this image is very clear- especially the end part with the stable dice.

Reflection image bank.

 This is a photo that I find really inspiring because I like the way the different reflections in the image portray different angles of the person who is being photographed. The fact that they are far in the back ground yet are still vision even from the first glance makes this a really interesting photo. I would like to react a photo in this form because I like the depth the reflections bring to this image. 

 This is another image which I like not just because of the reflection but because of the editing that has been used. The way that its just the main focus in the reflection is coloured draws the eye to that object yet the eye then wonders and sees other parts to this image. This is a clear example of how reflection can distort object which I really like and hopefully get to recreate when I go out to take my photos.

 I also chose this image because I personally find it very intriguing and would love to recreate an image like this- if I were to have a mirror like this. The way that you see her body from two angles makes this a really interesting photo which to me is very inspiring. I also like the way that everything is black and white, so nothing draws attention away from the main focus of the image- the girl holding the mirror.

 The fact that the water in the glass flips the reflection of what is behind this makes this an inspiring image as well because even though we can only see (what looks like a tree) in the back ground, if you focus on the glass reflection you get to see more into the surrounding. To me this is a reason why I like it as I would like to recreate an image including reflection the way this does.

This is a final image that I wanted to include in my image bank because I find it really inspiring as the reflection, even from something as simple as an eye, you can see something in the outer surroundings.

Shape image bank

 I really like the shape displayed in this image. The reason for this is that at first glimpse of this image you'd see 2 simple circles for the rings. Then when looking closer you can see a heart that has shadowed across the book. I really like the display of shapes in this photo and how the background doesn't take away much of the focus. This photo is inspiring because I really would like to convey shape in this way.

This is another image that I really like because the shape of the stereotypical heart is being displayed by a book. I also like the way at the end of the heart, there's an object that looks like a flower. The way the eyes follow through this sort of heart tunnel, to see the flower. Another way in which I like this photo is because the background around the book is plain and out of focus, the reason I think this makes in better is because it doesn't distort the focus on the heart.

 This is another photo which I really like because the negative space is the shape it's self upon the sunset sky. The main focus of this image is the heart its self as nothing takes off the focus of this shape.






Furthermore, this is another photo which I really like because even though it's clear this is a frog, you can only see the bottom of it. The perspective on this image is really good that makes this a realign interesting picture. I also really like the use of negative space of the green on the green background of the leaf.





I also decided to choose this image for my image bank on shape because its simplicity of showing the shapes makes this intriguing. Negative space is strongly used in this instance. The eyes are the main shape in this image. Simple circles yet they sort of draw in the attention and makes you focus on them, as if they are looking into you. I also like the way the negative space shapes the cats faces into an irregular shape.
