Pattern Straight Images

Nature holds a variety of different patterns, this image is a clear example of that. Each leaf is repeated through shape and size down each part of the plant producing this beautiful out come a this patterned image on the left. The reason I have chosen this as one of my straight images is because the pure greenery and simplicity of this pattern. Even though some parts of the plant are smaller than the other, the pattern still continues throughout without one main focus point.

Secondly, Man made objects, when positioned in the correct order can create a great pattern, as shown in my photo of Toblerones. The reason I chose to take an image of this pattern if because I feel that from the angle, the pattern flows clearly down the image. The similarity between this image and the image above is that there isn't a main focus point, the way a patterned image should be. The only down side to this image is in the bottom left hand corner you can see the selling shelf which isn't part of the pattern which I should have cut out.

Naturally, people see an image such as this one and think
Oh a duck. However if you look at the features on the duck, you can see a repeated pattern that carries on through its entire body. The reason I like this simple pattern is because it so natural that many people just pass it off because its normal, when looking for patterned items much more comes to the eye- such as the patterns on the ducks feathers.

Even though tree stumps are seen more as the textured element, you can see in this image a pattern on it that is followed and copied down and it continues. Not only is there patterns within the tree stump, I purposely include some needles from the bush on either side because they are also repeated pattern and I like the way in which the two different patterns compliment each other as it isn't as if one takes focus off the other.

Finally, I chose this image for patterns because I believe it is a simple pattern through the water fountain creating the rims on the water. A pattern is a repeated design, the way the water is growing the further it gets from the middle. The reason I like this is because it shows the simple way which nature shows us patterns.
